It is with great pleasure that I endorse and represent Thérѐse Papineau as a candidate for Windsor City Councillor Ward 7 in the bi-election held on April 27, 2020.
Mrs. Papineau has a wealth of knowledge and experience to serve as a municipal councillor. She has been serving others, over the past four decades as a civil servant for the Toronto Police Service and more recently as a care worker for HomeInstead Senior Care in Windsor.
Born and raised in Windsor, she pursued a career in law enforcement becoming proficient in diverse areas dealing with public concerns, race relations, cultural awareness, as well as budgetary issues and municipal affairs. Upon her retirement in 2011, she returned to Windsor, where her skills are again focused on serving others, particularly, seniors and the vulnerable. She has no political affiliations and her primary goal is to represent the citizens of the ward she is proud to call home.
The Municipal Elections Act of Ontario has strict guidelines surrounding what a candidate can spend on a campaign. Additional funds may be contributed by private individuals who normally reside in the Province of Ontario. Should you wish to financially support Candidate Papineau, you may e-transfer funds to firstname.lastname@example.org or by cheque made payable to “Therese Papineau Campaign Fund” and send to 11816 Boulder Crescent, Windsor, Ontario. N8P 1Z8. A receipt will be sent out for all donations received. Municipal Council contributions are not tax deductive.
Additionally, a fundraiser “Meet and Greet Pasta Dinner” of Sunday, March 29, 2020 will be held at the Riverside Sportsmen Club. 10835 Riverside Drive, Windsor. Doors open at 4:30 and dinner is from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Please email or phone me at the number below for advanced tickets at 20.00 per person.
Another way to support this campaign is to volunteer to canvass Ward 7 during the month of April. For information about this or other ideas, check out the website at www.theresepapineau.com.
